If you were in the building last week, you might have noticed an odd smell. Most high school students at CHS recognize this smell immediately as the “cat smell.” However, that wasn’t the case in Mrs. Johnson’s Anatomy and Physiology class. As a continuation of learning about the nervous system, each group of students was given a sheep brain to dissect. The tasks included cutting and identifying many different structures throughout the complex organ. Leaving the classroom on Friday, each student had not only learned more about the brain, but they also had the opportunity to participate in an exciting, hands-on experience.
