Bake Sale to Raise Money

Bluejays helping Alum Jaden Smith

Ayla Faullin

Have you ever gone through a hard time? Many of us have had struggles, and it’s easy to feel like you’re alone. But here in Cimarron, it’s our job to ensure that we let people know that they are never truly alone despite those feelings.

Next Friday, January 21st, many groups such as the FCCLA, SADD, NHS, and Kay Club, with the leadership of Mckenzie Mashak, will be holding a fundraiser at the home wrestling tournament at Cimarron High School. They will be having a bake sale, selling donated cookies and baked goods. The fundraiser will also be selling raffle tickets for gifts donated by the Trading Post and Santa Fe Grill.

All the money raised will go towards the family of Jaden Smith.  Smith is a CHS Alum,  diagnosed with cancer, resulting in many costly surgeries and treatments. The money will go to help pay for medical bills now and possibly in the future and just to be a blessing to him and his family.

Many parts of the community are coming together to offer donations for this fundraiser. Make donations in cash or baked goods. Send well-wishes and prayers to the family. If you have any questions about the fundraiser or donations, please see Mrs. Schmidt.
