Disqualification may await Taylor-Greene

Marjorie Taylor-Greene, the Georgian representative, may be facing disqualification from re-election to Congress after a federal judge is allowing a group of Georgian voters to challenge MTG’s re-election attempts.

Their challenge aims to disqualify Greene due to her support for those involved in the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Amy Totenberg, the federal judge, had “significant questions and concerns” about a similar situation with Madison Cawthorn, a North Carolina representative. Greene and her staff are said to be “focused on the congressional election objection on the House floor and had nothing to do with the planning of any protest.” Totenberg is expected to rule on whether Green should have her case dismissed, not long before the case will potentially be heard by a state judge.
