The Cimarron Bluejay golf team put together two straight wins this past Tuesday in Larned while battling 35+ mph wind. The Bluejays shot a 331 to win by 23 strokes over the hometown team, Larned Indians. The Jays look to have caught their stride after sputtering in their first event by taking second to the Elkhart Wildcats. Caden Wilkens told us that he thought, “…the team played well…it was a tight course with thick wind.” Wilkens took 7th place in the tournament after firing an 84. When asked about what he wants to bring from this tournament to the next, Andrew Pfeifer mentioned, “I hope to be top five again in the next tournament, it might not be the best as there are four places in front of it, but it is a good accomplishment for me.”
