The Future Farmers of America put on land judging. Land judging is not only a competition, but it also serves as a tool to educate students about soil science, but also how to manage soil. The Cimarron FFA will be attending two Land Judging competitions. The team is led by Ag teacher Mr. Schick. The first meet was to be held in Scott city was to be held on September 23, 2020, but it was sadly canceled due to COVID-19. It will be rescheduled in the spring; however, the date has not yet been finalized. “The Cimarron Land Judging team was very disappointed that the competition was canceled,” says Mr. Schick.

Luckily, the next land judging competition did take place. That competition took place in Beeler, Kansas, on September 30, 2020. “The land was better in Beeler than last year in Satanta,” says Mr. Schick.
