Agree to Not Agree Peacefully

Election brings tension

On Tuesday of September 29,  the 2020 Presidential debates had begun. Rebulicaian President Donald J. Trump and his opponent Democrat Joe Biden participated in a  vastly heated and chaotic debate. There tended to be quite a few uncalled for interruptions, but both parties had brought up good points during that time.

On the other hand, the Vice President debates between Republican Vice President Mike Pence and Democratic Candidate Kamala Harris can be agreed that the tension was not as sky-high chaotic. A funny thing that had come out of the Vice President debates was the fly that had nested himself on top of VP Pence’s head.   The whole United States found that fly quite hysterical, and some could say that was the best part.

Both parties had brought good points. Instead of focusing on what our peers and friends politically believe in times like these, we need to look past that. Politics can cause more harm than good. Like the United States, we are divided, and instead of blaming each other, we need to come together and stop saying negative things about each other and lift each other instead.

Everyone is different, and that’s the way life is. If everyone were the same, life would be boring. We need to learn to respect each other and appreciate everyone’s beliefs about different topics, especially politics. We are all humans, and we need to find the beauty in differing opinions. This year we should aim to build each other up instead of tearing others down.
